I’ve used six different manual pumps and this is one of the better ones. It comes with two flange sizes so you don’t have to worry about the possibility of needing to buy a different size separately. One of the more unique features is the handle, which can be adjusted to three different positions depending on your comfort and whether you prefer to use your right or left hand. It has a detachable base to provide some stability, and the base does not interfere with holding it or get in the way at all. (With some other brands, the base seems bigger than necessary, often falls off, and can interfere with usage.) The bottle is convenient for storage and the lid is secure. Overall this is a great little pump if you want an option that is simple, easy to use, doesn’t require electricity, and is a fun lime green color! Thank you Ardo!

This is the best manual pump I’ve used. It has great suction and is very easy to clean. Love that it comes with an extra flange size and an extra duckbill valve. The valve also fits on the pump snug which is great for getting those last few drops out after pumping. No valves falling into milk! It also comes with a bottle stand so no accidental milk spills! Very affordable as well! Two thumbs up!

  3. Bianca

Easy, portable and comfortable. A true must have in your BF journey. The is manual pump is a life saver when you need to pump but don’t have access to an outlet, or you’re out of power or even it’s the middle of the night and your baby only nursed from one breast, leaving you full and uncomfortable on the other. I’m an odd side flange that isn’t readily available but the 22 is close, better than most pumps which only give you 24 or 28. Buy it, throw it in your diaper bag, keep by your bedside… you’re welcome!

I never used a manual pump before, so I was a little nervous to try this one. I was very pleasantly surprised! I usually use a haakaa to catch my letdown while baby nurses, but lately it’s been taking longer than I have time for before work. So this morning I tried my new pump, and I loved it! I wasn’t used to having to actually hold it on my breast or working my hand and fingers, but I’m sure I will easily get used to it. I love that you can move the handle into different positions to make it nicer on your wrist. The suction is strong without hurting, which is nice too! It is also super easy to clean. The fact that it comes with a base, lid, and extra valve makes it worth far more than $20! I would definitely recommend this pump!

  5. Josie M

I really like this hand pump! It’s comfortable and easy to use! I generally don’t respond well to pumping but I responded fairly quickly to this pump and was able to relieve the pressure I felt from being engorged. I especially liked that it came with a 22m flange and 26mm. As an exclusively breastfeeding mom, this handy portable pump will always be in our diaper bag for outings. I highly recommend it as it is made well and very user friendly!

  6. Pkbudny

This pump is easy to set up, clean, and use. There are two different flange sizes as well as a spare duckbill. I also liked that it included a stand and a bottle cover to prevent leaks. I found the suction to be strong but comfortable which made milk removal efficient and easy. I would recommend this hand pump- I’ll be using it as a back up when I return to work!

  7. Leah

i have found this pump to be helpful while out of the house and needed to quickly empty my milk. The package comes with useful/extra parts: a stand (so no spilled milk), extra duck bill valve, a flange insert a more snug fit, and a cap for the bottle. I appreciate how they designed the handle to be positioned either on your left or right side when pumping. The parts are easy to wash and assemble back together.

  8. Emma

This pump is great! I have used several manual pumps, including Medela, Lansinoh and Ameda. I didn’t like Medela (too many small, fiddly parts) or Ameda (not ergonomic), and I would say I had similar output with this Ardo pump as my Lansinoh. And better yet, the handle requires only a light touch.

The only downside was that the packaging didn’t include instructions. I was able to find them digitally and there was also a helpful video on YouTube.

  9. Danny

I recently purchased this after using other manual pumps and I love it. The handle is so much easier to use than others I have used in the past and the plastic base is a lifesaver for me to ensure I don’t accidentally knock over my liquid gold. This product will definitely be getting daily use!

  10. RS

actually purchased this in hopes when I was in a bind, I could pump on my terms. It’s easy to wash and assemble and very easy to use. I found it very efficient. The only thing is, I wish the bottles were bigger and that there was more variety for size of the flanges. Overall though, I’m very pleased!

  11. Hannah

This hand pump is the best I’ve ever used! Being able to switch the handle to your pumping side needs is amazing! Also love that it comes with two flange sizes and two duck pills so you have a replacement when needed! The stand is also amazing no more crying over spilt milk!

  12. Jordan

Great hand pump for expressing milk! I’m a birthworker and need an easy to use pump while away from my breastfeeding infant and this pump is exactly what I need.

  13. Angel

I sometimes forget my pump at work and on those days, this pump is perfect for a late night pump session. It’s very easy to use and clean. It also stands up well when you need to set it down.
    Overall a great manual pump!

  14. Kristen

Easy to set up and use. Perfect back up pump or if you need to empty a little before nursing without setting up an electric pump. Have not had much success in the past with manual pumps but this one worked great!

  15. Cavalleyrn

Super easy to use, very strong suction. Awesome product for the price

  16. Anna

Good for letdowns and convenience of not being tied to one area when pumping, it does take longer than an electric pump but it works well and doesn’t hurt!

  17. Veronica D

Nice to have on my night stand for middle of the night relief when baby sleeps longer!

  18. Nesha

Zero complaints about this hand held pump! I was able to get the same out put with the hand held as with my regular pump!

  19. Brittany

I love having a hand pump available to me! We exclusively breastfeed, but it’s nice to have access to an easy to use pump when needed without having to pull out the whole double electric. I’ve had issues with clogged ducts and I love the ease of this hand pump and the strong suction. Some of my favorite pros:
-Doesn’t need a plug or batteries, you can just toss it in the diaper bag and bring it with you anywhere
    -very easy to clean
    -super quiet
-easy to use (just pop it on your breast and squeeze)

It would be difficult to use this as your primary pump if you are pumping both sides multiple times per day, but as a backup or for occasional use this is perfect! I highly recommend this for any mom, and would make the perfect baby shower gift!

  20. Adzam

The Ardo hand pump is a perfect tool for pumping! I find this super helpful when needing a quick pump to relieve some pressure or travel. I just took it on a trip and loved how light, compact and quiet it is to use! I loved how simple it is to put together and disassemble for easy cleaning too. The handle moves in a few different positions to be more ergonomic for left or right sided use. It also comes automatically with two flange sizes and easily interchangeable. The pump has the common duckbill shaped membrane and even comes with an extra. I also liked that it comes with a base to rest it on and a screw cap for the bottle if you need to store your milk in that one. I found I was able to extract a good amount of milk with this and could easily mimic my electric pump with quick short bursts of suction or longer slower draws. I really liked this hand pump!

  21. Sofia Espinoza Alvarez

The pump is very convenient. It’s simple to put together and easy to clean, store and use. The handle is very sturdy, you can pump at your rhythm. Overall, the pump has a nice suction, it’s easy to have full control the speed and the force. The breast shells are the most common sizes, had no problem with the fitting.

The ergonomic handle does help avoid fatigue, my hand does not get too tired, and I love that right- and left-handed people can use it. The pump is quiet when using.

I find it better than the Medela manual breast pump. Plus, it’s an excellent value for the price. I am very happy with this purchase.
