Did you know that your breasts have a ‘mammary memory’? This memory actually helps your breasts prepare for breastfeeding of the second, third, fourth (and beyond) baby.

If you were a super milky mama and had a bountiful breast milk supply with your second nursling, there’s a reason for that!

Research has shown that mammary glands in your breasts actually form a long-term memory of pregnancy that primes it to respond to the hormonal changes of your next pregnancies. And this mammary memory actually lasts throughout your reproductive years!

So with each pregnancy, you will grow more milk-making cells that will allow you to make more breast milk.

If your breastfeeding journey didn’t happen they way you wanted with your first baby and you struggled making milk, don’t give up with your second. Give your mammary memory a chance!
